Anniversaries and evenings out

For a dinner or a show that may not follow a set schedule, book the limousine through hourly chauffeur service, with no fixed itinerary required.

Ten passengers is the maximum, and at ten the cabin is full. A smaller party has noticeably more room to sit and to get in and out, which matters when people are in gowns or a wedding dress. If your group is right at ten, compare the SUV limousine, which carries up to 14.

The privacy divider separates the passenger cabin from the chauffeur, useful for a couple after the ceremony.

Luggage space is not what a stretch limousine is chosen for. If the trip includes suitcases, such as a couple leaving for the airport after the reception, tell us the bag count when you book, or consider the Executive Sprinter Van.

Washington’s limousine rules, WAC 308-83-010, define a stretch limousine as an automobile seating four to 14 passengers behind the driver, with a wheelbase of no more than 285 inches that has been lengthened beyond the manufacturer’s original specification and meets U.S. Department of Transportation standards. It must also have nonstandard amenities in the rear, meaning features not normally found in passenger cars, such as additional interior lighting or power-operated dividers.

Limousines are licensed by the Department of Licensing under chapter 46.72A RCW. Each needs a DOL vehicle certificate carried in the vehicle, and the carrier must file proof of at least $1,050,000 in liability insurance.
