From downtown Bellevue the airport run is almost all I-405: south past Renton to the I-5 interchange in Tukwila, then west on SR 518 into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. It is roughly 18 miles and typically 25–40 minutes outside peak hours, a mapping estimate checked against WSDOT’s travel-time data. Traffic varies, so treat it as the good-day figure.

Peak hours change the picture. WSDOT’s 2024 corridor report shows the 13-mile I-405 trip from Tukwila to Bellevue averaging 40 minutes in the general-purpose lanes during the morning commute, against 13 minutes at the speed limit. Landing on a weekday morning with a Bellevue meeting to reach? Set the start time with that in mind. Two ways across Lake Washington

Downtown Seattle is about 10 miles west. I-90 crosses Mercer Island and the floating bridges into Seattle with no toll. SR 520 crosses the Evergreen Point Floating Bridge, tolled in both directions at rates that change with the time of day. Outside the rush either typically takes 15–30 minutes, and chauffeurs plan around the traffic on the day.

Downtown and Old Bellevue

The Bellevue Collection (Bellevue Square, Lincoln Square and Bellevue Place) anchors downtown along Bellevue Way, and three hotels are part of it: the Hyatt Regency Bellevue at Bellevue Place, and The Westin Bellevue and W Bellevue at Lincoln Square. Meydenbauer Center combines a convention center with a 410-seat theatre, so a conference day and an evening performance can share one address. BelRed, the Spring District and Eastgate

BelRed and the Spring District are where the city expects much of its new office and residential growth, built around light rail. Eastgate and Factoria are the traditional suburban office parks. For an office pickup, give the building and entrance when you book.

Weddings and celebrations

Many Bellevue weddings are held in hotel ballrooms: both the Hyatt Regency Bellevue and The Westin Bellevue host ceremonies and receptions. For a smaller day, the city rents Robinswood House in Robinswood Park, which takes up to 60 guests inside and up to 200 using the grounds. One planning note: Bellevue Botanical Garden does not permit weddings, parties or other private events, so it will not work as a ceremony site.
