SEA-TAC Airport Limo and Car Service

There are two ways a pre-arranged limousine can pick you up at SEA, and the Port of Seattle sets the rules for both.

At the curb on the Arrival Drive

Pre-arranged limousines pick up on the Arrival Drive, the lower drive outside baggage claim, in the load and unload lanes. Port rules do not allow chauffeurs to wait or park on the airport drives, so this option works best when you already have your bags and are ready to step outside as the car pulls in.

Meet-and-greet inside baggage claim

If you would rather be met, ask for meet-and-greet when you book. Your chauffeur parks in the designated limousine stalls on the 3rd floor of the airport parking garage, checks in at the Ground Transportation booth, and meets you in baggage claim with a name sign. From there you walk together across a skybridge, one level above baggage claim, and down one floor to the car. It is the easier choice for first-time visitors and travelers with several bags.

International arrivals

International passengers arrive at the baggage claim level in Gina Marie Lindsey Hall, at the south end of the terminal, and claim their luggage at the International Arrivals Facility. The Port notes that clearing U.S. Customs and Border Protection typically takes 60 minutes or more, and longer when several flights land together. Mention that the flight is international when you book so the pickup is planned around it.

Flight tracking is included on every SEA pickup. The pickup follows your flight’s actual arrival, not the time printed on the itinerary, so an early landing or a delay moves the pickup with it. Include the airline and flight number in your request.

If you are rebooked onto a different flight, call dispatch with the new number; dispatch is staffed from 5 AM to 1 AM daily. Waiting-time terms and airport fees depend on the booking, so check Rates & FAQ or ask when you request a quote.

The Port of Seattle recommends arriving two hours before a domestic flight and three hours before an international one. Work backward from that: the drive, a buffer for traffic, then the time at the airport. Drop-offs are on the Departure Drive, the upper drive outside ticketing.

Distances and traffic by area

• Downtown Seattle: about 13 freeway miles on I-5. On a weekday late morning, WSDOT’s average for that stretch is roughly 13 to 19 minutes depending on direction, before city streets and the airport drives.
• Bellevue and the Eastside: the I-405 stretch between Bellevue and Tukwila is about 13 miles. In 2024 the morning commute from Tukwila north to Bellevue averaged 40 minutes, and took 56 minutes to be on time on 95 percent of trips, according to WSDOT commute data.
• Everett: roughly 40 freeway miles on I-5 through Seattle. WSDOT measured the 24-mile morning commute from Everett to Seattle at 50 minutes on average in 2024, before the leg south to the airport.
• Tacoma: about 18 freeway miles on I-5 by way of Federal Way. The evening commute south from Seattle to Federal Way, which passes the airport, averaged 44 minutes for 22 miles in 2024.

These are freeway figures, not door-to-door times, and traffic varies by hour, day and season. Give us your flight time and whether you are checking bags, and the pickup can be set with the drive in mind.

Most airport trips are one to three travelers, and the executive sedan is built for that: a quiet cabin, bottled water and Wi-Fi on request.

Families and teams arriving together often do better in the Executive Sprinter Van, which seats up to 12 with conference-style seating and luggage capacity. The stretch limousine (up to 10) and SUV limousine (up to 14) suit arrivals that start a celebration.

Whatever the vehicle, tell us how many bags you have, including skis, golf clubs or oversized cases, so the car fits the luggage as well as the passengers.

SeaTac is its own city, built around the airport, with hotels along International Boulevard and the streets near the terminal. A night there before an early flight shortens the morning drive. Hotel courtesy shuttles load on the 3rd floor of the airport garage; a reserved car instead collects you at the hotel entrance at the time you set and drops you on the Departure Drive.

A ride from a SeaTac hotel to a meeting downtown, a winery in Woodinville or a client visit in Redmond is booked like any other trip.
